Taste of the Faiths

Join us for the Annual Taste of the Faiths fundraiser Monday, May 7. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door. All proceeds benefit the Mahoning Valley Association of Churches.
St. Charles Borromeo Parish will host the dinner, starting at 5:30 pm. Entertainment will begin at 6:00 pm. See you there!
This Sunday, May 6, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, join us at the church for a fantastic spaghetti dinner. Tickets for adults are $7, and children under 12 years old eat for $3.
Take-out is available for no extra charge.
All funds raised support local Boy Scout Troop 55 and the costs of their annual summer camp.
The Mission I & S Committee is excited to introduce our speaker and preacher for this Sunday, May 6. Denise Sciuto grew up in Westlake, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. Her heart for mission was nurtured through her active participation in the youth group of her home church.
Denise graduated from Grove City College with a degree in International Business, and worked for 15 years doing customer service and outside sales in the field of International Transportation. At that point, she felt God calling her to be a full-time parent; but she remained actively involved with the Mission Committee of the Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church.
Along with her husband and family, Denise moved to New Wilmington and became involved in the New Wilmington Presbyterian Church as well as Shenango Presbytery and the N.W. Mission Conference.
Currently, she is Associate Director of Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship which is committed to bringing the good news of God’s love and grace to people everywhere.
We look forward to Denise’s presentation during Adult Forum as well as her preaching during worship this Sunday. Denise’s love of Christ and her enthusiasm for Christ’s mission are contagious, and we look forward to hearing her stories about the good news of what God is doing in frontier mission areas of the world. Plan to join us for Adult Forum at 9:45 am and worship at 11:00 am this Sunday — Mission Sunday.
